Books Lending Library
At BSE we take all the best possible care to develop and polish up the English language skills such as Listening, Speaking, Reading and writing (LSRW), of the learners of all levels. To facilitate this we run a library which has a good collection of English Classics and Cambridge readers in seven levels from Starter to Advanced providing reading material for every student’s ability with a wide selection of titles, from thriller to romance, with international settings appealing to a broad range of interests.
Listening Lab
Listening is absolutely important when you are learning to speak a language. To improve the listening skills and the overall language level of the learners, we have a listening lab where 25 listeners can at a time listen to a wide variety of audio recordings which are highly useful because of the diversity of speech patterns that learners can benefit from, in their progress with the English language.
One of the main advantages of doing listening practice is that learners get to hear recordings of different voices, accents, genders and so forth. They do not have to just rely only on the teacher to help perfect their spoken English, but they can also learn to understand others who speak. Moreover, it helps prepare learners for real life situations, where they will have to listen, respond to, and make sense of a variety of voices.
Improving listening skills is of prime importance to the professionals of today, who on a regular basis interact with clients and colleagues from across the world. It helps them understand variety of English and speak with clarity, confidence and better pronunciation.
Pronunciation practice at the lab
At BSE we do a lot of pronunciation practice exercises to train students to recognise and produce English sounds such as the vowels, consonants and diphthongs as it is not always possible to figure how to pronounce something merely by hearing it being pronounced. Learners understand the importance of stress and intonation, strong and weak forms, link ups etc. Various levels of pronunciation practice materials with a wide range are made available to practice to reach the required mastery.
Our Infrastructure
Our class rooms are well ventilated, airy and equipped with Computers, TV, Overhead projectors.
The Listening/ Pronunciation Practice Labs are large enough to seat up to 24 students at a time.
